Registration Information

Annual registration is required for all families that would like to participate in Care After School. Students must be eligible to attend our program to be on a waiting list. Students who will be new to the district in the 2025-26 school year cannot register to be on a waiting list until the open registration period in the spring (see 2025-26 Registration Information for details).

There is a $40 per family non-refundable registration fee.

Eligibility

Children must be enrolled in a PM or All Day Kindergarten through 5th grade class in a Worthington Elementary School to be eligible to attend the after school program or be on a waiting list during the school year. Students can enroll in CAS only at their school of attendance. Children attending AM Kindergarten are eligible for enrollment only in the CAS morning programs (Liberty, Slate Hill and Worthington Estates), and are not eligible for any PM program or for the CAS waiting list. Children placed on a Worthington Schools All Day Kindergarten waiting list can remain on the CAS waiting list until their Kindergarten status is confirmed. A child cannot be enrolled in CAS without permission for emergency transportation. Children must be toilet trained in order to attend the Care After School program. Additional forms are required if your child takes medication or has a medical condition that might require attention during program hours. See the Health Condition Info page for details.

IF YOUR FAMILY IS NEW TO CAS (not currently enrolled or on a 2024-25 waiting list), you will register from April 14 - 25. REGISTRATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE ENROLLMENT.

Register anytime during this period to be included in the lottery to determine your enrollment or waiting lists status. IT IS NOT FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. Notification of enrollment or waiting list status will be emailed approximately two weeks after the registration period. There is a $40 per family, non-refundable registration fee. Registration does not guarantee enrollment.

IF YOUR FAMILY IS ON A WAITING LIST FOR THE 2024-25 school year, you will register from March 12 -28. REGISTRATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE ENROLLMENT.

Your registration fee will be waived if you are on a waiting list at the time of registration. Instructions and reminders will be emailed to current waiting list families leading up to the registration period. Registrations received during the priority registration period will be processed after currently enrolled families. Incoming siblings will be added to the waiting list with their sibling. Your family will move up the waiting list and be offered enrollment as space is available. We continue to offer enrollment throughout the school year.  A link to register will be emailed to you on March 12th.

IF YOUR FAMILY IS CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN CAS, you will register from March 3-7.

Registration is required annually to continue enrollment. Currently enrolled families receive priority and the current enrollment status is guaranteed as long as you register during this period. Instructions, notifications and reminders will be emailed leading up to and during the registration period. If you miss the registration period, your registration will be processed as it is received. Changes in enrollment status (full-time to part-time and vice versa) are processed on a first, come first served basis and are honored if they can be accommodated. 

Have an incoming sibling of a currently enrolled student? Register incoming siblings with the currently enrolled student. Enrollment is not guaranteed, however, they are given priority registration ahead of waiting list students.

Registration is closed for the following sites. Enrollment and waiting lists are full and closed for the school year. You cannot be placed on a waiting list until the next open registration period, which will be in the spring.

Enrollment lists are full but the waiting lists are open and you can still register for the following programs:

- Granby

- Liberty PM

- Slate Hill PM

- Worthington Park

Registration is open and there are spaces available for enrollment for the following programs:

- Liberty AM

- Slate Hill AM

- Worthington Estates AM

REGISTRATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE ENROLLMENT AND THE FAMILY REGISTRATION FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE.

Families that register for Care After School during the designated registration period and cannot be enrolled because the site is full are included on the waiting list for their school of attendance (site). Complete registration forms and registration fee payment are required to be included on a waiting list. The length of the waiting list and its movement varies from site-to-site and year-to-year. CAS cannot guarantee or predict when space will become available.  Openings are offered as space becomes available throughout the year.  Registration does not guarantee enrollment.
